CELEBRITY NAIRO ALEXANDER QUINTANA ROJAS

Nairo Alexander Quintana Rojas was born on February 4th, 1990 in Combita Boyacá. He is a Colombian cyclist. Currently, he is in the Spanish team of UCI World Team category.

Nairo is Luis Quintana and Eloísa Rojas’s son, although his childhood and adolescence occurred in the village "La Concepción" of the neighboring municipality of Cómbita, in a family of peasants dedicated to commerce of agricultural products.

His wife is Yeimi Paola Hernandez and his daughter is Marina.

Nairo is a leader, a runner who never thinks of being second. He prepares to win. He has enormous self-confidence, he knows what he is capable of and he does his best to execute the process well and achieve it. He is also intelligent, reads and interprets well the races.

Many victories for the country have given by Nairo Quintana.

Portal 2: Daily Routine of Nairo Quintana. His/her daily routine Make a collage with pictures that describe his/her daily routine. You must include a description of each action through a paragraph, using present simple and phrasal verbs 

His daily routine begins: he wakes up four o'clock in the morning and he makes her bed. He takes a bath at ten past four. He dresses at four thirty. He eats breakfast at four forty, and he goes to train at five o'clock during six hours with an average of 35 km per hour. He goes from Tunja to Arcabuco. He climbs the top of the Sote, under Arcabuco; Moniquirá, Barbosa, passage National Bridge, all these little villages, Garavito. Until arriving at Chiquinquirá and Chiquinquirá, Sutamarchán, Sáchica, until arriving again at Tunja. At eleven in the morning, he comes to his house, he rests and takes a shower. He has lunch at noon, after lunch he shares with his wife and daughter. At three in the afternoon, he takes a snack with his family. At four in the afternoon, he goes to his parents' house to share with them. At six in the evening, he has dinner with his parents and family. He leaves the house of his parents at seven in the evening. At eight o'clock he goes to bed

 Likes                                                                               

Nairo enjoys with his family typical food like: rice with chicken, sancocho of hen, Cubios, and broad beans. He likes to practice the cycling sport, he also does exercise during the training. He eats delicious fruits of his country. He goes to “Le tour de France”. He talks about his plans in his career. He likes to take some photos about the landscapes while he is training. Cycling is his priority and passion. He likes listening to reggaeton and carranguera music in the free time. Nairo goes to church and is a devotee of the Virgin Maria.  Finally, he helps poor people despite he does not have much money. 

Dislikes

On the other side, Nairo does not like fame and he does not talk much. He doesn’t like to lose the races. At this moment, he goes by for bad moments and this is the good fortress. He prefers fight on. He doesn´t like drink liquor, and read. He doesn´t like to move out of his domicile.

Nairo Quintana’s House

Portal 4: ¿What is his house like? Make a collage with pictures of the celebrity´s house (use your imagination). You must include a description of each picture using sentences in simple present and modal verbs.

The Nairo Quintana parents’ house is humble, the front of the house has a picture of their son, the champion of Colombia, as a reference in order to tourists can arrive and be well received. At the entrance has a simple 80's tile with a glass door.

The living room has a beautiful and comfortable blue sofa, where Nairo with his family enjoy celebrations and triumphs. Your home office is a place of tranquility where they have a lamp that matches the wall and where Nairo meets with his friends to plan how they will train in the next time. The dining room is a quiet place full of garden with flowers and green woods, where they sits down to enjoy in family and with their guests in rocking chairs and a balcony in grating where they can see the beautiful land of Boyacá.
